Endovenous Laser Ablation
In association with -Frontiere Medicale we use the latest laser technology - 1470nm wavelength lasers and radial fibres - giving high treatment reliability with low post-operative discomfort and rapid recovery.
Using an ultrasound to identify the vein, a fine tube is inserted in the vein. The laser fibre is inserted in the vein under ultrasound guidance. Local anaesthetic injections are given along the line of the vein, before the laser is turned on. The fibre is then pulled-back, sealing the vein from top to bottom.
This treatment works by sealing the main varicose veins using infrared heat delivered by passing a laser fibre inside the vein. We use high-quality radial fibres shown to be the least painful option for your laser treatment. The treatment time can vary between 20 and 40 minutes.
